SciVal uses Scopus data from 1996 to the present, covering more than 60 million records from over 7,000 publishers worldwide. SciVal offers a wide range of simple and more sophisticated metrics, and allows you to find thousands of indicators.
SciVal consists of 4 main modules:
- Overview : Access summaries of the research performed by any research unit, identify and analyze its strengths and multidisciplinary research areas.
- Benchmarking : Compare any entity's strengths and areas for improvement through a diverse array of metrics and subject areas and monitor progress over time.
- Collaboration : Identify and analyze existing and potential collaboration opportunities based on publication output and citation impact.
- Trends : Analyze the research trends of any self or pre-defined Research Area, Publication Set, Topic or Topic Cluster with citation, publications and usage data, to discover key researchers, rising stars and current developments in fields of interest.
Specific features
Create an account to get started: click on "Create account" in the top right-hand corner of the screen, then enter your email address (be careful NOT to choose the "sign in via your organization" option).
You will then be asked to enter your name and create a password.
