New Cairn platform: new content and new interface
The Cairn platform is evolving. You know this resource for its French journal articles and ebooks in the humanities, social sciences and management sciences. Starting this fall, you'll find even more content, and a new interface to make it even easier to find.
New content, new formats
Cairn now offers videos (in French) of interviews with authors who publish in the journals available on the platform. The videos are chaptered to help you quickly find the information you're looking for.
Here are some examples of recently published videos:
- Géopolitique de la datasphère (Frédérick Douzet)
- Quelle santé demain sur Terre ? (Nicolas Senn, Marie Gaille)
- La politique en temps de défiance (Daniel Gaxie)
New interface
With the redesign of the platform, Cairn offers new ways to navigate the platform and discover content on the subjects that interest you:
- thematic lists created by the platform's partner publishers
- finer topics in each subject areas, to find articles and books on a particular subject more precisely
- author pages with links to open access publications
Accessibility and navigation have also been improved, especially on mobile devices.
Artificial intelligence is now a must-have, and Cairn didn't wait to integrate it into its platform. When you create an account, AI enables you to discover new content, working as a complement to the (human) curators, through lists, folders, bounces from an article, and so on.
