ESSEC professors co-authored "Vers une philanthropie stratégique"
January 15, the book "Vers une philanthropie stratégique" (Towards Strategic Philanthropy) is released in bookstores.
How to make a donation for the general interest while making sure to have a positive impact? How to build a philanthropic strategy that meets both the desires of the philanthropist and the needs of society?
In France, private donations are playing an increasing role in financing medical research, social action, educational, cultural or environmental projects.
The French adaptation of Peter Frumkin's, a reference book, by Anne-Claire Pache and Arthur Gautier of the ESSEC Philanthropy Chair makes this essential tool available to any experienced or aspiring philanthropist, with numerous concrete cases and illustrations. Peter Frumkin is Professor at the University of Pennsylvania in the Chair about Social Impact and Program Director.
"Vers une philanthropie stratégique" will be available at the Learning Center in a few days. You can get it on the website of its publisher, Odile Jacob.
The ESSEC Philanthropy Chair and the Fondation de France, a partner in the project, is organising a presentation of the book:
Thursday 30 January at 6 pm at the Cloître Ouvert, 222, rue du Faubourg Saint Honoré 75008 Paris
This meeting with the authors, Vincenzo Esposito Vinzi, Director General of ESSEC and Axelle Davezac, Director General of the Fondation de France, will be structured around a conference-debate followed by a cocktail and a book sale.
