Tribute to Hervé Mathe
A tribute to Hervé Mathe - Professor, Management Department – will be taking place in the K-Lab on Monday, May 9th.
Professor Hervé Mathe passed away very suddenly earlier this year. Innovation, Asia, and research are the themes he liked the most. Hervé was Professor at ESSEC Business School for over 20 years where he created numerous research chairs focused on topics like innovation, services, and Chinese studies. He headed many of the school’s major entities including Executive Education, and more recently, ESSEC Asia Pacific. Always the international, Hervé also taught at the University of Lausanne from 1990 to 1999. He was a visiting professor at Harvard Business School, the Wharton School, the National University of Singapore, Bocconi University and the EPFL (Swiss federal Institute of technology). Finally, Hervé was a prolific writer on his favorite subjects, authoring numerous articles and books translated into several languages.
His numerous qualities which made him an idea agitator, a visionary, and a humanist will be sorely missed at ESSEC.
