Read the press on Factiva using its new interface!
Press aggregator Factiva has recently launched a new interface dedicated to daily news reading. Do you like to read the press to keep up to date with the news? Here's everything you need to know about this new interface.
To access this new interface, simply click on “Switch Factiva” (“Changer de Factiva” in French) in the menu at the top of the page:
On this interface, you'll find the day's main international news headlines, updated every 6 hours (3), as well as a selection of regional sources in French: Les Echos, Le Figaro, Libération, etc. on the right (4). The search bar at the top (1) allows you to search in natural language the archives of the last 5 years.
Next to the search bar, the “Switch Factiva” button (2) allows you to return to the classic interface and take advantage of this news aggregator's powerful search functions. The existing interface will continue to operate alongside the new one, as the latter does not yet offer the same search power and precision, and currently contains only 5 years' worth of archives.
You need to make a clear distinction between the two uses, and choose the interface that best suits your purpose: the new interface for everyday reading, and the classic interface for information retrieval.
New functionalities are set to be deployed in the near future:
- download articles as PDF files,
- print articles,
- expanded archive availability.
